The methodological approaches contained in the ICD are the result of the curricular innovation which was implemented in accredited Teacher Education Institutes at the beginning of the year 2000.
Great changes in second and foreign language education have taken place all over the world and the curricula and organization of Teacher Training Institutes had to be modified according to the prescribed changes in many countries of the world.
In Argentina educational changes for the Institutes of Higher Education are prescribed by the “Ley Federal de Educación” (Federal Education Law) and they not only imply curricular innovation but also include new prescribed academic activities which redefine normal academic practice.
Among other issues, professional Development, Academic Extension and Action Research are essential part of the proposal, among other issues.
The Institute’s Educational Project
Main objectives
- To offer language teaching courses of a high academic level, in compliance with the new approaches in language education
- To maximize students’ learning potential and endow them with the necessary tools to become successful practitioners, and also fulfil a much needed social role.
- To provide academic exchanges with Universities and other Higher Education Institutes.
- To organize Exchange Programs with other countries.
